Financial Support
CIL
The Parish Council receives a share of the funds levied by Waverley Borough Council on large and small housing developments across the parish. We have already started receiving these funds and are allocating them to local infrastructure schemes.
If your non-profit organisation requires funding for capital expenditure and it meets our set criteria, please consider applying for some of these funds. The Funding Conditions and application form can be found in the Application Forms section below.
Grants & Donations
We welcome applications for grants from new or established community associations, cultural, sporting, leisure and charitable organisations for financial assistance towards the capital expenses of the organisation.
Grant applications should be no more than 50% of the cost of the project and should benefit inhabitants of the parish.
We offer small grants of £1000 or less and partnership grants of more than £1000.
Small grant applications can be made at any time of the year.
Partnership grant applications should reach us in November. If approved these will only become payable in the following financial (Council Tax) year.
Full conditions of the grants and an application form can be found in the Application Forms section below. Please send the requested documents either by email to or to the address on the form.
We also welcome requests for donations from charitable organisations that benefit the residents of the parish.
Witley Charitable Trust
Witley Charitable Trust is a small charity concerned with the care and distribution of the interest on money left by several individuals, from the 17th Century onwards, for assisting the elderly and young in need, in the ancient parish of Witley. This now covers the modern ecclesiastical parishes of Milford and Witley. Those who benefit must be permanent residents of the parishes. The Trust also receives an annual grant from the Henry Smith Charity.
One off grants can be made for any specific need that falls outside the responsibility of statutory services. For example, the Trust has provided 70% of the cost of lunches for a number of nursery school children where parents find the whole cost too much, a microwave for a family with no cooking facilities, extra time for special needs children at nursery schools and special schools. At Christmas the Trust currently gives Supermarket vouchers to over 50 families and individuals.
Grants are considered on a case by case basis by the Trustees. Applications are submitted through people responsible for residents in the parishes such as Schools, Social Workers, the Churches, but not directly by the individuals concerned. For further information or to request assistance from the Trust please contact the Secretary through the email address below.
Current officers of the Trust are
